In Green Flash, marine life artist Wyland captures the stunning green flash at sunset in his second companion photograph taken during the filming of his Animal Planet television show in the Sea of Cortez. Wyland describes the moment when he saw the green flash while making his way back to his live-aboard boat, the Don Jose, after swimming with a large pod of sperm whales. The sky was painted with the color of an abstract expressionist portrait, and Wyland was able to capture this rare and beautiful moment with his digital camera.
