The Sea of Cortez serves as the inspiration for Flow, the first of two Wyland works of photographic art. While filming a one-hour special for Discovery Channel's Animal Planet, the artist captured one of nature's most stunning moments with his Canon digital camera. "The sunset had illuminated the sky with light and color," the artist says. "It looked like an abstract expressionist portrait with the moving radiant colors of the sky and water. A few moments later, I saw a green flash and was able to capture that rare moment of last sunlight before the evening."
